KG6 Definitives

Definitive issue - pale colours 1941-1942
The dyes used to produce the colours were imported from Germany. When Great Britain was at war with Germany the import restrictions made it difficult to obtain these dyes, so less dye was used for each stamp. These stamps were used until 1951, and they also appeared with the sideways watermarks from coils or booklets.

½d to 3d pale colours

New colours, 1951
Note that the 3d stayed the same colour.

½d to 4d new colours
